Desktop downloads

The repository builds the native desktop for Windows and Linux/WSL development. A source build is not a signed supported installer. A public package must include the executable, native libraries, sidecar/Runner, runtime dependencies, version metadata, checksums, and an update path.

Application updates

The desktop checks for updates and shows a persistent header notification. Download the update, then confirm closing the app and installing it. Update manifests are signature-verified, and downloads are checked before installation.

Website and dashboard deployments update on reload. Desktop releases require separate Windows and Linux artifacts even when both share one semantic version.

Free early build

Provider subscriptions, API usage, and third-party application charges remain separate unless a future plan explicitly says otherwise.

Compatibility and rollout

Desktop, dashboard, discovery, and signaling carry versioned protocols. Backward-compatible server changes should deploy before a desktop release; an update should become mandatory only when an installed client is genuinely incompatible or unsafe.
